The Horus Heresy was a galaxy-spanning civil war that tore the Imperium of Man apart. It was fought between the loyalist forces of the Emperor of Mankind and the traitorous forces of his former son, Horus Lupercal. The Primarchs, the Emperor's genetically-engineered sons, played a major role in the conflict. Some Primarchs remained loyal to the Emperor, while others sided with Horus.
Loyalist Primarchs
- Leman Russ: The Primarch of the Space Wolves, Russ was a fierce warrior and a loyal friend. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat Horus in battle.
- Roboute Guilliman: The Primarch of the Ultramarines, Guilliman was a brilliant strategist and a gifted administrator. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to keep his Legion intact during the Heresy.
- Magnus the Red: The Primarch of the Thousand Sons, Magnus was a powerful psyker and a brilliant scholar. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to see the true nature of Chaos.
- Perturabo: The Primarch of the Iron Warriors, Perturabo was a master of siege warfare. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Angron: The Primarch of the World Eaters, Angron was a berserker who was driven by rage. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Fulgrim: The Primarch of the Emperor's Children, Fulgrim was a charismatic leader and a gifted swordsman. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Mortarion: The Primarch of the Death Guard, Mortarion was a resilient warrior who was immune to poison. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Konrad Curze: The Primarch of the Night Lords, Curze was a sadistic killer who enjoyed pain. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Lorgar Aurelian: The Primarch of the Word Bearers, Lorgar was a charismatic leader who was devoted to Chaos. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Vulkan: The Primarch of the Salamanders, Vulkan was a skilled blacksmith and a compassionate leader. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Corvus Corax: The Primarch of the Raven Guard, Corax was a skilled guerrilla fighter and a master of stealth. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Sanguinius: The Primarch of the Blood Angels, Sanguinius was a noble warrior and a gifted healer. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
- Rogal Dorn: The Primarch of the Imperial Fists, Dorn was a master of fortification and a skilled tactician. He was one of the few Primarchs who was able to defeat the Emperor's own forces.
Traitor Primarchs
- Horus Lupercal: The Warmaster of the Imperium, Horus was the Emperor's most trusted son. He was corrupted by Chaos and led the rebellion against the Emperor.
- Alpharius and Omegon: The Primarchs of the Alpha Legion, Alpharius and Omegon were twin brothers who were known for their stealth and treachery. They sided with Horus during the Heresy.
The Horus Heresy was a defining moment in the history of the Warhammer 40k universe. The Primarchs played a major role in the conflict, and their actions shaped the galaxy for centuries to come.
